My name is Candy Morris. I am 49 years old and have had FMS for sixteen years, possibly longer. I went from doctor to doctor looking for relief. After years of Physical Therapy, Hypnosis, testing of all kinds and experimenting with medications and herbal remedies, I have been able to lead a very happy and productive life. Finding a team of doctors and supportive friends and relatives is very important for wellness.
Living with FMS is tough and frustrating as you already know if you have this condition. Out of the frustration of constantly being asked "What's Fibromyalgia?", I decided to make a shirt for myself that would explain FMS for all to see.
After wearing the shirt to my Doctor appointments and P.T., I began to have others with FMS ask for a shirt. And so the shirt sales began and I decided to use this shirt to help raise funds and Awareness for FMS
research. One dollar per shirt goes out to organizations that are doing research. Not only does the shirt help raise research dollars but patients say that the T-Shirt has helped explain their condition to
friends and relatives, especially the ones who didn't quite believe the FMS diagnosis and large range of symptoms.
Now when I stand on line at a store, someone behind me can be educated about FMS. Maybe if it becomes more of a household word, FMS will get the much needed attention that we all would benefit from. Your purchase is greatly appreciated and I hope that you wear it in continuing good health! Let's get some answers and help together because I believe that Knowledge Brings Hope!
P.S. I am a single mom who has raised three children. I am certified as a massage therapist but I work full time as an Instructional Assistant at my sons high school. For six years I coordinated a support group in my hometown of Burlington, NJ but had to give it up because of lack of time. I still supply telephone support through a FMS hotline number. By helping others with FMS, it also helps me immensely! Thanks for taking the time to check-out this web-page. And thank you to April for all of her help! You can find answers and relief from constant pain, don't give in or give up hope!
